Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medalist Rower
Matt is a Gold, Silver and Bronze Medalist, having competed in Four Olympic Games in the sport of rowing (crew). He won all three of his medals in the sports blue ribbon event, the rowing eight class.
Having taken up the sport after being inspired by watching the 1996 Atlanta Games, he quickly rose through the ranks winning his first World Championship Title at the age of 18 in the Single Scull. His first appearance was at the Athens Games (2004), where he finished 8th, with following appearance at Beijing 2008 (winning Silver), London 2012 (winning Bronze), and finishing off his career being crown a gold medalist at Rio 2016. Since retiring from Rowing he has used his skills gained through sport to retrain as a Commercial Pilot.
