Q&A is a way for you to ask players, coaches, and wellness experts specific questions that you may have about your sport or your health. Submit a question to an instructor through text or video, pay their set price, and you will receive a video response to your question or request within a week. 

If your instructor doesn’t respond within a week, you will be fully refunded.

What if my instructor doesn’t respond? 

Your written question should be no longer than 350 characters, and your video request should be no longer than 1 minute.

Instructors will respond with about 1-2 minutes of video answering your question. 

Try to be as specific as possible in your request. Want a coach to analyze your form or tell you how to improve the power behind your serve? Be as clear as possible in what you hope to gain from the interaction. If providing footage from a game or practice, use the text box to provide context around your clip.  For example, “Hi [Coach Name], my name is Laura. Here’s a video of me practicing my serve… am I hitting the ball at the right point in the air to get the most power behind my serve, or is there something I can do better/differently?”

Group lessons give learners the chance to learn from an instructor in a group setting. When you buy a ticket to the event you will receive a meeting link with instructions on how to log into the lesson.

A monthly plan allows learners to have consistent access to their instructor. This subscription renews on a monthly basis and gives learners the ability to text and video message, as well as book 1-on-1 lessons with their instructor.

The introductory offer is only available with select instructors. Where available, you'll get a 15-minute introductory consultation which allows you the opportunity to connect with the instructor and get a feel for the 1-on-1 experience before booking a full-priced 30-minute lesson. We recommend that you come prepared with specific focus areas and questions, so that your instructor can give you the most personalized feedback possible. If you have game tape available, we suggest having that ready, so that you can show it to your instructor through screen sharing.

What makes for a successful 1-on-1 lesson?

You will be sent an email after booking your 1-on-1 lesson that will contain the meeting link. When it is time for your meeting, simply click on the link and it will take you to your lesson.

A 1-on-1 lesson is typically 30 minutes long. Some instructors may offer shorter or longer lessons.

In order to get a full refund on your 1-on-1 lesson, you must cancel 24 hours before the scheduled meeting. If you cancel more than 2 hours before your lesson, you will get a credit to use towards another lesson. If you cancel within 2 hours of your lesson, you will not be refunded. If you fail to show up to your lesson, you will still be charged.

What if I can no longer make my scheduled 1-on-1 lesson?

If you can no longer attend your lesson, email us at support@theskills.com and we will send you a recording of the lesson that will be good for 1 week. If you bought a package, you will have access to the recordings during the package and for 1 week after the package ends. If you bought a subscription, you will have access to the recordings as long as your plan is active.
